Privacy Policy
SponsorPath helps you find Australian visa-sponsor employers on job boards and tailor resumes for those roles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Who we are
SponsorPath is operated by the SponsorPath team. For privacy questions, email hello@sponsorpath.com.au (update this address if you use a different contact).
What we collect
- Account data — email address (and name if provided by Google sign-in).
- Subscription data — entitlement status, trial dates, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers when payments are enabled. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage needed to run the product — selected industry preference, and requests to our servers for sponsor lists, entitlement checks, and resume tailoring.
- Resume content — when you use Tailor, your resume text and the job description are sent to our backend for that request so we can generate a tailored version. Your base resume is stored locally in your browser (
chrome.storage.local) and is not saved as a permanent file on our servers by default.
How we use data
- Authenticate you and provide access (trial or paid).
- Deliver sponsor company lists for your selected industry.
- Generate tailored resume content via AI providers we configure (for example Google Gemini), solely to fulfil your request.
- Process subscriptions and invoices via Stripe when payments are on.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
AI processing
Resume and job-description text you submit for tailoring may be processed by third-party AI APIs under our account. We instruct those services not to use your content to train public models where the provider allows that setting. Do not include information you are unwilling to send to those processors.
Where data is stored
- On your device — base resume text, industry preference, and local caches.
- Supabase — account and entitlement records (hosted cloud database/auth).
- Stripe — billing when you subscribe.
- AI providers — transient processing of tailor requests.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run SponsorPath (hosting, auth, payments, AI), or when required by law.
Retention
Account and entitlement data are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for records and dispute handling. Local resume data remains until you clear it or remove the extension. Tailor request payloads are processed to fulfil the request and are not intended as a permanent resume archive on our servers.
Your choices
- Update or delete local base resumes in the extension side panel.
- Sign out or request account deletion by emailing us.
- Cancel a subscription via Stripe’s customer portal / the manage-billing flow we provide when payments are enabled.
Children
SponsorPath is intended for adults seeking employment. It is not directed at children under 16.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in Australia or overseas (for example the United States). By using SponsorPath you understand that processing may occur in those locations under the provider’s safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
